The two best racing games EA ever launched were:
And as a bonus I’ll let you guess the second best:
I can hear “Riders on the storm” on my head now.

Most wanted.

Sorry, but NSFU2 has infinity points deducted for having this abomination in its soundtrack. It cannot be the 1st, 2nd or 3rd best anything. Once this plays, it’s an auto DNF.

Oh... I only remember riders on the storm.
I guess we remember the good things only.

I still maintain that Burnout 3: Takedown is the best racing game on the PS2. And if not for the racing, it’s got the best soundtrack of any game I’ve ever played.
(however, that RotS remix is fantastic)

Wrong. See Exhibit A.

I LOVED this game in high school. I spent so much time just driving around in my riced out skyline. Hours of my life were enjoyed in this world.
Most Wanted has to be number two, I really enjoyed that one too.

Most Wanted had one of the best soundtracks.

High Stakes, Hot Pursuit, II, Porsche Unleashed... how the mighty have fallen

NFS Underground 2 and the original Most Wanted.

I went back at some point and loaded up my Underground 2 save...because I had done the missions to get the extra stat boosts, my fastest car was a Celica with two amps, four subwoofers, suicide doors, and underglow. It was fun, but you couldn’t get more ricey if you cooked it for twenty minutes with two parts water and then fluffed with a fork.

I know every word to this song. At least it was only a menu song.
![]() 03/02/2018 at 09:28 |

It was a menu song, not a game play song which makes it a bit less memorable unless.

Yes I would love an USFU3, but I know it wouldn’t be the same. Most Wanted Black list was the last good Need For Speed game.

All I hear is Spiderbait’s “Black Betty”

NFS 2015 is essentially NFSU3. It’s actually really enjoyable, you should give it a chance if you haven’t.

I haven’t. I think I was too pissed off that it doesn’t give you a manual transmission mode.

They patched in manual transmissions! The game got a lot of post-release support and ended up a much better game because of it. It’s cheap nowadays (I got it on sale more than a year ago for like $15 digitally), so give it a shot.

That’s awesome. Does it have drift events like the original? If Horizon 3 added drift events than it would be perfect. Not the same feel as a NFS game but still awesome. That’s what I’ve been playing almost exclusively. That and Subnautica.
![]() 03/02/2018 at 12:08 |

Yep, there are actually four different types of drift events: drift train, drift trial, gymkhana, and touge.

Simple: you prevent it from playing. All you need to do is go turn it off in the options menu, as there was a playlist option.
Unlike modern video games.
